Creativity Consultant to Brainstorm on Twitter for Twelve Hours
Saint Louis, MO (PRWEB) January 8, 2009 -- On Saturday, January 10, 2009, Schroeder Ideas LLC is hosting an event called #ideathon which will take place on the popular micro-blogging website Twitter. Consultant Josh Schroeder, the founder of Schroeder Ideas, will allow virtually anyone on the internet to pick his brain for free. "Whether you are a business owner, doing charity work, a student writing a term paper, or whatever your situation may be, I want to help," said Josh. "Ideally, I want to find solutions for as many people as possible."
It's an unconventional approach for an unconventional business. Instead of explaining what creativity consulting is, #ideathon is a way for Schroeder Ideas to show people what the company is all about. "I'm an ideas guy. I'm a right-brained person who is more creatively inclined, but I don't believe in creativity for its own sake. Good ideas will help people. Good ideas will make business more efficient, non-profits more effective, and improve our quality of life. My company generates ideas and shares them with people and organizations who will implement them."
Anyone with internet access can follow the #ideathon but you need a free Twitter account to ask Josh a question. Messages on Twitter are limited to 140 characters, the same length as a cell phone text message. To ask Josh a question, include @ideathon in your tweet (which is Twitter jargon for a post) and ask your question. Josh will reply publicly to you and also include #ideathon in his tweet. "It's wide open for anyone to see."
"Thinking off the top of my head for twelve straight hours will definitely be a challenge, but I think it'll be a lot of fun," said Josh who hopes to be well rested on Saturday morning. "Hopefully my three week old son will let my wife and I get some sleep!"
In addition to following #ideathon on Twitter, Josh's webcam will be streaming live at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/ideathon
